Comments due August 18, 2017
On July 3, Nevada DEP released a Draft Beneficiary Mitigation Plan and has requested comments by August 18. The agency also has set up a list serve for those who want to be informed of changes or updates. The draft plan can viewed here. NGVAmerica and SW Gas met with the NV NDEP Air Quality Planning Bureau Chief and the lead for Nevada’s VW efforts, Joe Perreira, on July 13th to discuss the benefits of using VW funds for NGVs. They are open to NGVs and understand the “most NOx reduced for funds spent” value proposition that NGVs have.
August 29, the Nevada DMV Advisory Subcommittee on the Control of Emissions from Motor Vehicles will hold a meeting at 1:30pm PST and the Advisory Subcommittee will be considering the adoption of its response to comments received in relation to its July 6 draft Beneficiary Mitigation Plan as well as the adoption of its recommended Beneficiary Mitigation Plan. If you cannot attend the meeting in either Carson City or Las Vegas where it is concurrently taking place, you can call-in to the meeting. The Nevada Advisory Committee on Control of Emissions from Motor Vehicles is the entity charged with collecting public comments. The Committee held its last public meeting on July 11, 2017. Comments on the Draft Mitigation plan can be submitted to Joe Perreira by August 18, 2017.
