Request for Cost Information – TDEC released a notice on Dec. 12 requesting information on the cost of qualifying mitigation equipment including new vehicles, repower engines and electric vehicle infrastructure. The notice indicates that it is not a request for project proposals. Information on the request is available here: https://www.tn.gov/
The DEC has developed a web-based form to allow interested stakeholders to submit comments regarding the state’s utilization of environmental mitigation trust fund monies associated with the VW diesel settlement. All comments are received by TDEC’s Office of Energy Programs (OEP) for review. The DEC also has indicated that it will be hosting public education and listening sessions regarding the VW settlement environmental mitigation trust and its implementation in Tennessee at a number of locations across the state during development of its beneficiary mitigation plan. Dates, times, and locations of these sessions will not be determined until the trust effective date has been identified.
Tennessee’s Beneficiary Mitigation Plan is under development. No timeline has yet been given for its release.
