Sparq to Celebrate CNG Station Opening in Southwest Kansas

Next Tuesday (July 1st), Sparq Natural Gas and Black Hills Energy will celebrate the opening of the CNG station located at a Hutch’s convenient store in Liberal, Kansas. The station’s “first-fill” event will be attended by members of the regional Clean Cities Coalition and local business leaders, and will feature a ride-and-drive. “Every day more companies are becoming aware of the opportunities to fuel their fleets on CNG,” said David Hutchinson, Hutch’s president. “At Hutch’s, we are seeing commercial and retail interest and questions on CNG continuing to rise and we want to meet the needs of our loyal customer base by offering a variety of fueling options, which will led our work in Liberal, and look to expand across our station footprint.” NGVAmerica recently participated in a member’s briefing of Kansas code officials that was organized by Sparq will support from Black Hills Energy.
Sparq plans to expand its area station network in cooperation with local municipalities.
