AGA Systems Receives EPA Cert. for 5.3L GM Engine Family

AGA Systems recently announced that it has received full EPA certification for its bi-fuel DuraDrive DI system for General Motors’ 5.3L Direct Injection engine family for both the 2014 and 2015 model years. AGA Systems technology and EPA Certification gives GM fleet customers the option to convert a variety of truck models, including the Silverado/Sierra 1500 pickups and the Tahoe/Suburban and Yukon/Yukon XL, to run on both gasoline and CNG. The DuraDrive DI system is a redesigned system using Tier 1 OEM tested components engineered to accommodate the operating characteristics of the direct injection engine. This EPA Certification for the 5.3L Direct Injection engine follows on the heels of the recent AGA Systems Certification for Bi-fuel/CNG applications on the 2014 General Motors Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain line of compact SUVs equipped with the 2.4L Direct Injection engine.
