Piedmont Natural Gas Opens Second Station in Nashville

On Tuesday, Piedmont Natural Gas officially opened its latest CNG fueling station in Nashville, Tennessee. The new CNG station is the Company’s tenth overall and their second fueling station in Nashville. Piedmont is developing stations along major interstates within its three-state service area. The company will also be converting at least one-third of its more than 1,000 fleet vehicles to CNG by the end of 2015. “System-wide we expect to displace 2 million gasoline gallon equivalents in 2014,” said Karl Newlin, Piedmont Senior VP and CFO. “We expect that number will increase in coming years.” A variety of vehicles to be serviced at the facility were demonstrated at the station opening, ranging from fleet cars and trucks to street sweepers and semis. The new Piedmont CNG facility is open to the public (credit card purchases only). The present CNG fuel price is $2.19 per gallon.
