VNG Opens Philadelphia’s First Public CNG Station

On Monday, VNG held an opening ceremony for the first public CNG fueling facility in the City of Philadelphia. Gov. Tom Corbett was in attendance and spoke at the opening. The VNG facility is located at a BP-branded gasoline station and convenience store and is designed for light duty commercial and consumer vehicles. It is the first of other facilities VNG will construct at retail gasoline stations to support natural gas fueling in Pennsylvania. “By supporting projects such as this VNG natural gas fueling station, we are building a stronger Pennsylvania that leverages our energy resources to create jobs for working families, grow our economy and protect our environment for generations to come,” Corbett said. VNG received support from the Commonwealth Financing Authority for the project.
