NGVAmerica Update on Available Funding Opportunities

NGVAmerica tracks available funding and business opportunities of significance to the NGV industry. Below is information on current funding opportunities.

2018 Tribal DERA Request for Applications

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is converting the FY 2018 Tribal DERA Request for Proposals (RFP) to a Request for Applications (RFA) and extending the deadline to apply from September 6, 2018, to April 3, 2019.

EPA is extending the deadline to allow tribes that intend to utilize the “DERA Option” under the Volkswagen (VW) trust agreement the opportunity to participate in the second VW trust agreement funding cycle, which will run from December 2018 to May 2019 according to proposed modifications to the trust agreement filed with the Court. Tribal beneficiaries to the trust may use trust funds as voluntary matching funds on Tribal DERA grants under the VW trust agreement Environmental Mitigation Action #10. This is known as the “DERA Option.”

In addition, all new DERA competitive funding opportunities will be RFAs. The process to apply under an RFA is similar to the RFP, but applicants must submit four additional forms. Please review the full RFA for application submission information.  Amended 2018 Tribal DERA RFA and Supporting Documents Area available here.

EPA will hold two upcoming webinars about the FY 2018 Tribal DERA RFA.

  • Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. (ET).
  • Thursday, February 21, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. (ET).

DAQ may increase funding to an awarded project in good standing if additional funding becomes available. However, DAQ reserves the right to award less than the total amount of funding available. Any private or public sector entity or individual stationed in North Carolina is eligible.
