NGVAmerica Announces Webinar to Support DOE Report to Congress

Session Will Help Identify Barriers to NGV Deployment and Suggest Solutions for DOE Study Inclusion

Washington, DC – NGVAmerica announces that it will hold an informational webinar on Monday, January 7, 2019 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. ET to discuss its submission to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) for a report DOE is compiling on natural gas use in transportation.

As part of the FY 2019 Appropriations process, Congress directed the DOE to undertake a comprehensive study, with stakeholder input, identifying barriers to natural gas vehicle deployment in on- and off-road transportation.

As such, the DOE’s Office of Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy (EERE) has begun engaging industry stakeholders like NGVAmerica as it constructs this report to Congress.  Officials from EERE and the national labs attended NGVAmerica’s Annual Industry Summit in Palm Springs in November 2018 to begin this exchange.

NGVAmerica’s webinar will present issues currently identified by DOE as the technology barriers for NGVs while soliciting participant feedback on these and other barriers to further deployment.  For those who were unable to attend the Palm Springs session, this presentation will be shown on the webinar, with time provided for Q&A as well as a time to provide input on these and other technical barriers.

Who Should Participate?  All NGV stakeholders, including logistics managers and fleet operators, grant writers and finance principals, sustainability officers, fuelers, service suppliers, utility leaders, and NGV market developers.  NGVAmerica membership is not required to participate.

Why?  To make sure your voice and opinion is heard and experiences shared.

When?  Monday, January 7, 2019 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. ET
