Funding Opportunity - Deadline Oct. 25, 2019
In September 2019, the DEQ issued a funding opportunity notice that includes grant money for on-road and off-road vehicles. It is anticipated that the DEQ will provide approximately $2,700,000 available to fund projects. Funding for Class 4-7 and 8 trucks and for buses is open to governmental and non-governmental entities. Funding of 13 percent of the cost of new vehicles is available for diesel and most alternative fuels and 38% percent for new electric vehicles if the purchaser is a non-governmental entity. New drayage trucks qualify for grants worth up to 25 percent of cost of the new vehicle or 35 percent for electric trucks. The DEQ will pay up to 50 percent of the cost for all new vehicles regardless of fuel type acquired by governmental entities.
