Final Beneficiary Mitigation Plan

The DEQ submitted a final Beneficiary Mitigatin Plan to the Trust on June 8, 2018.  The plan includes the following allocations:

40% On-Road (20% school bus, 20% trucks and transit)

20% Non-Road 

10% DERA

15% Flex Funds

15% EV Light Duty Infrastructure

Funding Opportunity Deadline Dec. 3, 2018

The OK DEQ has announced two funding programs toward reducing vehicle emissions in Oklahoma.  The Clean Diesel (DERA) Program will offer approximately $683,000 toward the installation of exhaust control retrofits on a variety of vehicles, and diesel or gasoline school bus replacements.  The Alternative Fuel School Bus Program, funded by the Volkswagen State Environmental Mitigation Trust, will offer approximately $4.1 million toward alternative fuel school bus projects.  DEQ has a comparison factsheet of the similarities and differences between the two programs. A full description of eligible projects can be found in their respective Requests for Proposals (RFPs). Applications for both programs are due on or before December 3, 2018.
